19th Century French Mahogany Salesman Sample Serpentine Chest of Drawers 10"H
A gorgeous antique French miniature mahogany salesman sample tabletop chest of drawers, circa 1880. Antique salesman samples were used in the 19th century by traveling salesman to show a small scale representation of the furniture they were selling. This fine chest has a beautiful serpentine front fitted with ornate gilt brass drawer pulls and mounts, and lovely shaped apron on slender splay feet.
